about me
Hello and thanks for being here!
Tim Keller has said:
…the Christian life is a process of renewing every dimension of our life—spiritual, psychological, corporate, social—by thinking, hoping, and living out the “lines” or ramifications of the gospel.
These “lines” of the gospel in all different areas of life are what I love to read about, think about, and endeavor to write about. Seeing the good news as truly good and seeing Jesus as not only necessary but beautiful, is something that matters to me greatly. That is maybe the top reason why I love writing—words illustrate this goodness and beauty well.
I write about the above with the only voice I have. My perspective has been shaped by my cross-cultural upbringing. I was born in Hong Kong and have been living in Canada since I was six years old. I grew up a “church kid”, but in an Asian church, so that is a whole thing. All of this informs the ways I draw on the grace of the gospel, as I live as a wife, a parent, a ministry leader, a friend, a daughter.
Day to day: I teach the bible to high schoolers and college students at my Chinese-heritage church in Edmonton. I’ve done workshops at conferences and written for various publications (TGC, Rooted Ministry, Sola Network, New Growth Press blogs). I’m a contributing author to The Jesus I Wish I Knew In High School, Asian American Edition (New Growth Press, 2024) and I wrote a collection of devotionals for God With You (Zondervan, 2026).
This page is to keep all my writings in one place.
Thank you for being here and reading.
